It is so easy to let life pass by and forget every good reason to be grateful to God. We can get so easily distracted by the challenges, circumstances and the main essence of living. We can get entangled with the ups and downs, distresses of life that appreciating God becomes a mere thing to us. So I took time out to reflect on the seven reasons to be grateful to God.
#1 LIFE
I would like to appreciate God for being alive as a living being not as a living doing or dead being. Being who I am in Him not in my efforts but resting in Him in spirit and truth, permitting Him to take full control. It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life John 6:63.
#2 NATURE
Have you ever walk along the road, in the fields or park with the aim of appreciating His beautiful nature created by Him and most importantly the air we breath. I am really grateful to God for He is the air I breathe, His presence brings life to me. When the wind blows His spirit moves. He has given us dominion and authority over the fish of the sea, birds of the air, the animals, over every creeping thing on earth and all the earth (Genesis 1:26). It is a privilege to have full access to the earthly nature and enjoy life in abundance.
#3 FRIENDS, FAMILIES, LOVED ONES AND DESTINY HELPERS
Thank you Lord for bringing alongside my Husband, friends and families to love, support and encourage me. Life without my loved ones is an aimless worthless one. I appreciate you all for the Lord using you as an instrument to impact my life especially my loving Husband. Moreover the people whom I call destiny helpers the Lord has connected me with that helped, guided and mentored me in fulfilling God’s purpose in my life, I would like to say a big thank you. God has divinely orchestrated it all to fall into alignment with His plans and purposes
#4 HE IS MY PROVIDER
I cant take for granted the fact that He has been my provider from the beginning and will be to the end. My daily needs are catered for (Matthew 6:11). Knowing that He has a storehouse of secret treasures waiting for me to walk into and possess with boldness and courage of who I am in Him. It has already been made available so I thank You Heavenly Father for giving me divine access to all that I require and desire according to Your will.
#5 HE IS MY HIDING PLACE
When challenges or problems try to overwhelm me, I find refuge in Him. Perfect peace, perfect rest is found in Him. He is my hiding place, my place of refuge, place of rest and restoration in Him. I have learnt to trust in Him even when my mind cant comprehend but my heart trusts in Him. Thank You for being my hiding place during the storms of life.
#6 BECAUSE HE IS GOD
I cant complain because You are God, You are the first and the Last. Everything works out for good because You love me and I am called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). You called me Your beloved daughter in whom You are well pleased with. I have a PHL degree (PRECIOUS HONORED LOVED) in You (Isaiah 43:4). Therefore I am not afraid of who I am in You, THANK YOU JESUS
#7 I STILL STANDING
This year has been challenging for me with problems and circumstances being thrown at me everywhere nevertheless I am still standing. You never gave up on me and You will never leave me nor forsake me. These problems have tried to weigh me down but His yoke is easy and His burdens are light. What a wonderful God He is, what a loving Father He is, I AM THANKFUL TO GOD
There is so much more to write about but these seven reasons to be grateful to God are a starting point, They are endless, I can never stop thanking God for who He is, all He has done and will do. I keep my eyes fixed on Him not on my surroundings, my eyes are permanently set above not below, I look up to the sky and trust Him to see me through it all.
